With a list of career achievements any veteran driver would envy, Leh Keen, has already made his mark in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series. Hooked on racing since he was twelve, Keen moved into Rolex Series competition in 2004, capturing two podiums in the three races he entered. His first Rolex Series win came less than a year later in 2005 at the age of 22, the historic Six Hours At The Glen. A race that he has now won three times. In 2007, Keen began a three-year stint driving a Porsche GT3 with Farnbacher-Loles, scoring a win in 2008. In 2009 he captured three pole positions and four wins on his way to his first Rolex Series GT Championship.
Proving his talent in endurance racing in 2010, Keen posted a pole and win at the famously difficult 12 Hours of Sebring driving a Porsche for Alex Job Racing. He then traveled to Europe and jumped into Horst Farnbacher’s Ferrari 430 GT. In his first attempt at both races, Leh finished 2nd overall at the notorious 24 Hours of Nurburgring and second in GT2 at the 24 Hours of LeMans. Back in the states in 2010 he joined Dempsey Racing as a full-time driver in the Rolex Series, taking the team’s Mazda to their very first win ever.
His experience with Porsches made Leh a natural choice for Brumos Racing as they returned to GT competition in 2011. That decision proved sound, as Keen played an instrumental role in Brumos’ remarkable season, taking the famous #59 to two wins and one additional podium before closing out the year as the Rolex GT Champion. It was Keen’s second Championship in three years. He was elected to AARWBA’s All-America Team and selected as one of SPEED TV’s Top 5 GRAND-AM drivers for 2011. Leh also drove for Alex Job Racing in the American Lemans Series scoring another pole at Sebring and three podiums including Petit Lemans.
As Brumos Racing kicked off the 2012 season at Daytona International Speedway in January, Keen and his co-drivers returned the #59 Brumos Porsche to Victory Lane, scoring a podium finish in the historic 50th Anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Alex Job Racing has again signed Leh for the American Lemans Series, This time driving the AJR/WeatherTech Porsche GT3. Keen looks ahead to the rest of the season as he focuses on carrying the momentum forward for a new championship run in both series.
